(Salzburg) Salzkammergut
Turquoise lakes, magical castle hotels, freshly caught fish, romantic boat tours: Salzburg is surrounded by numerous bathing lakes that are worth visiting not only in summer. Nostalgic beach-feeling at Mattsee, the brewery at Obertrumer See, Fuschl Castle at Lake Fuschl, Wolfgangsee with its boat trips, Mondsee with its beautiful town with castle and baroque church. Those who wish to travel further will find special features like Bad Ischl or Gmunden in the Upper Austrian part of the Salzkammergut.Salzburg Open-Air Museum
Just a few minutes' drive from Hotel max70 and junior, the Salzburg Open-Air Museum is a true gem. Old farmhouses and historical buildings were dismantled at their original locations, restored, and rebuilt at the Salzburg Open-Air Museum. A beautiful walk at the foot of the Untersberg mountain with welcoming dining facilities as a rewarding destination. Perfect also for travelers with dogs, who are allowed to be brought into the open-air museum. And families as well – for example during Advent, when horse-drawn carriage rides are offered at the museum.

Salzburg Zoo Hellbrunn
A worthwhile day trip, not just for families: If your car is well parked at the hotel, you save nerves and choose public transport to get there. Although there are large parking areas available at Hellbrunn Zoo, on zoo-weather days, day visitors come from all directions to the beautiful zoo at the foot of the Hellbrunn Mountain.A beautiful walk leads through the zoo, definitely take children's or pushcarts for small children. Big cats are the zoo's main attraction, and in the summer, you can see them highly active in the night zoo. Our tip: Instead of dining in the zoo restaurant, have a picnic after visiting the zoo on the extensive meadows of Hellbrunn Park.
